Privacy Policy – Reddit Article Summarizer

1. Data Collection

This extension only accesses the content of Reddit posts and linked articles to generate summaries. It does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII), location, web history, or personal communications.

Data accessed:

• Website content (text from Reddit posts and linked articles)

Data not accessed:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Health information
• Financial or payment information
• Authentication credentials (passwords, PINs)
• Personal communications (emails, texts, chat messages)
• Location (GPS, IP address)
• Web history
• User activity (clicks, scrolls, mouse movement)

2. How Data Is Used

The extension uses the text from Reddit posts and linked articles to generate concise summaries displayed at the top of posts. Text may be sent to the OpenAI API for processing. Summaries may be temporarily cached locally in the browser for faster access.

3. Third-Party Services

The extension uses the OpenAI API to process article text. No other third-party services receive any user data.

4. Data Sharing

No data collected by the extension is shared with anyone. All processing is either done locally or securely via OpenAI.
